Comprehensive Pilates Teacher Training Program- January 2026!

The Pilates Studio Kennebunk is excited to announce our first Maine Pilates Teacher Training Program! Studio Director, Martine Kalbhenn and her mother, Rene Morales, previously offered Teacher Training Programs at their studio in San Mateo, California.

Our Contemporary program is the culmination of our Pilates Teacher Training with Marie-Jose Blum at Long Beach Dance Conditioning, and the scientific research that has improved the approach to the Pilates Method. Many clients have taken our course to better understand their own bodies and how to care for them in our supportive learning environment. Previously Certified Pilates Teachers have also greatly benefitted from our course, gaining a deeper understanding of body mechanics, fascial-oriented Pilates movement, and cueing techniques to help clients of any ability.

Our comprehensive program includes all levels of Equipment (Reformer, Trapeze Table, Wunder Chair, Barrels) and Mat Pilates: Core Concepts, Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced. Core Concepts begins with Breathing and finding the Core Cylinder of muscles. Anatomy lessons focus on proper mechanics of the Foot, Knee, Hip, and Spine, and how to work with injuries, pre and post rehabilitation, and Scoliosis.

Purchase of one book, Anatomy of Movement, by Blandine Calais-Germain is highly recommended. Anatomy of Breathing, by Blandine Calais-Germain is also recommended. (Both are available on Amazon.)
